META is bringing its camera-equipped AI glasses to six new futuristic retail locations across the US.

The stores will let customers have hands-on experience with the controversial AI glasses that are banned in most casinos.

Each location will sell variations of the glasses included the Ray-Ban Meta, promoted by Kylie Jenner, and the Oakley Meta frames.

Houston became the first new location to open on September 10 this year.

Five more stores are planned for Atlanta, San Diego, Chicago, Scottsdale and Moynihan Station in New York City.

The expansion will almost double Meta Lab’s previous eight-location standalone network.

The glasses combine cameras, microphones, speakers, Bluetooth and artificial intelligence in eyewear designed to be worn throughout the day.

That camera technology is also why similar recording devices are banned or restricted in many casinos.

At Meta Lab, shoppers can finally get up close with the controversial technology and try it on for themselves.

Customers can test the glasses, compare frames, check their fit and learn how the AI features work.

Some locations will offer prescription lenses, eye-care consultations, full-length mirrors and customization options.

The idea is that shoppers will understand the futuristic glasses better after being able to experience them in person.

The company is also adding Meta Lab hands-on zones inside Best Buy stores.

With cameras sitting inches from a stranger’s face, Meta is also teaching customers how to use the glasses responsibly around other people.

The stylish glasses have several useful features but have caused controversy due to fears that some wearers could record or take pictures of other people without their consent.

A beloved California-based pizza chain, Me-n-Ed’s, has banned smart glasses from all of its restaurants.

The goal of the ban is to keep guests comfortable and maintain a sense of privacy.

The smart glasses have also faced several other bans, as well.

In addition to casinos, they’re prohibited in certain courtrooms.

And even the U.S. Air Force has banned the use of AI glasses while airmen are in uniform.
