Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD), the CPU and AI-accelerator designer, surged roughly 8.7% to $607.30 Monday as Meta’s Muse launch pushed investors to rethink how much computing power persistent AI agents could demand. The move puts AMD firmly inside the broader chip rally as the market looks beyond GPUs and toward the entire infrastructure stack required to keep AI agents running.
Meta says Muse operates from its own cloud-based computer, controls a browser and can continue longer tasks in the background. That matters for AMD because agentic AI is not simply an accelerator story: these systems also need general-purpose processing to coordinate applications, manage workloads and keep cloud environments moving. AMD already plays on both sides through its EPYC server processors and Instinct AI accelerators, giving investors a clear reason to watch whether agent adoption translates into broader compute demand.
The valuation picture, however, is flashing a much louder warning than the rally itself. At $607.30, AMD trades 114.12% above its GF Value estimate of $283.63, according to the chart, meaning the market price is now more than double the fundamental benchmark. Meta has not identified AMD as a Muse supplier or disclosed Muse-related infrastructure spending, so the next proof point has to come from actual deployments: more EPYC installations, stronger accelerator demand or measurable AI-infrastructure revenue. The opportunity is getting bigger, but at this valuation, expectations are already running hot.
