Prince Harry’s speech at a New York City event Wednesday was cut short by a technical failure.
The Duke of Sussex, 42, was about seven minutes into sharing the dangers of artificial intelligence at the the Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting when he was forced to exit the stage.
The former military pilot did not return to resume his remarks for 40 minutes — and when he did, he quipped, “Hello, again.”
Harry joked that “AI got into [his] speech” and that it would be “interesting to see what it was so concerned about in part two.”
He went on to warn audience members about tech companies seeking to “find you, hook you, exploit you, break and then blame you.”
Harry continued, “Social media learned how to capture our attention. AI is learning how to enter our relationships. It doesn’t just want your attention; it wants your attachment. It wants to be the thing you confide in.”
The embattled royal family member noted that he was especially passionate about the topic as a dad to two children — Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5 — with wife Meghan Markle.
“I come to this as a father,” he explained to attendees. “One who has shared countless conversations with other parents as they mourned the loss of their children to recklessly built technology.”
The event marked Harry’s first foray back into the States since he and Markle, 45, relocated from Montecito, California, to England with their little ones.
The couple, who last lived in Harry’s homeland in 2020, touched down in England in August.
Markle has primarily remained out of the spotlight since landing across the pond, aside from sightings at two Cotswold locations — the Soho Farmhouse members-only retreat and the Three Horseshoes pub.
At the latter, the “Suits” alum was photographed chatting with fellow A-list expats Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi.
Harry, meanwhile, has stepped out for a slew of solo outings, beginning with the Invictus Spirit Gala Dinner & Awards on Sept. 17.
Within the week, he also attended the launch of the INSPIRE education program and the WellChild Awards.
Harry is also allegedly “in talks” to do on a documentary about his late mother, Princess Diana — something his brother, Prince William, is reportedly furious about.
Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, fueled rumors of the alleged project in his memoir, which came out Tuesday.
The 9th Earl Spencer wrote in “Swan Song: Diana, My Sister,” that he was approached by “a nephew” about a project, dubbing this one of the “endless requests” related to his late sibling he’s fielded recently.
When asked on Monday about the headline-making book, which also included scathing depictions of King Charles’ reaction to ex-wife Diana’s 1997 death, Harry dodged the question by not responding.
William, 44, similarly, ignored a question about the tell-all the following day.
The brothers have been estranged for years — and the Prince of Wales has yet to comment publicly on Harry coming back to the UK last month.
He and wife Kate Middleton reportedly plan to “continues their lives of service” as “it makes no difference if Harry and Meghan are in Oxfordshire, California or Timbuktu.”
We hear William has “washed his hands” of his brother, with royal insider Kinsley Schofield explaining, “He has his own family to protect and his responsibilities as Prince of Wales.”
